FAQ

  • Why should I wax?

Waxing lasts longer than shaving, which is the usual alternative. Whilst you’ll be reaching for the razor again within a day or two, with waxing you can be hair free for as long as six weeks. Waxing causes less irritation to the skin than other conventional hair removal methods. Waxing regularly can also actually thin out and lessen hair growth over time. By picking up and removing dead skin cells, waxing thoroughly exfoliates the skin and leaves it looking and feeling smooth, especially in comparison to other hair removal methods. Less ingrown hairs. No razor bumps.

  • Does waxing hurt?

The truth is that everyone's pain threshold is different, so what might be too much for some is barely noticeable for others. When done quickly and efficiently, it's not that painful. It’s always worse the first time. Most people report that the pain from waxing lessens significantly each session. By having frequent sessions not only give you visibly smoother results, but it will also be less painful.

  • Do you service men?

Yes. Facials and body waxing are available for men to book. However, I do not do Manzilians (waxing of the penis) or butt waxes for men.

  • Can I wax on my period?

Yes, although your skin is more sensitive during your period and you may experience more pain, it can be done as long as you bathe right before your appointment and insert a fresh tampon upon arrival to your appointment.

  • How old do I need to be to wax?

There is not a waxing age limit or waxing age requirement. However, if you’re under the age of 15, bring a parent or guardian on your first visit as I need their consent. After your first visit, you will not need to be accompanied to any future appointments.

  • Can I wax while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes. Waxing is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. During pregnancy your skin is a lot more sensitive so you may be more sensitive to the pain. Please wait until you are medically cleared by your doctor to wax after giving birth.
