BEFORE WAX APPOINTMENT

  • Let it grow out! Your hair must be the length of a grain of rice before booking.

  • SHOWER!

  • Exfoliate the night before. Do not exfoliate the same day as your appointment.

  • NO sexual intercourse or workouts the same day.

  • NO coffee or Alcohol 24 hours before.

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing to your appointment.

  • NO tans, saunas, or hot tubs 72 hrs before appointment.

  • NO deodorants/ fragrances.

WAXING CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Waxing cannot be performed if:

  • Varicose Veins/ Vascular skin

  • Herpes Simplex, cold sores, or warts

  • Undiagnosed lumps or bumps

  • Sunburned, irritated, or broken skin, tanned within 72 hrs

  • Open wounds, sores, boils, rashes, hives

  • Swelling, fresh Bruise, recent hemorrhage, recent head or neck injury

  • Fractures, Sprains, and Broken Bones

  • Operations/Recent scar tissue in areas being waxed (wait 6 months)

  • Moles and skin tabs (area can be avoided)

  • Aids/ HIV

  • Lupus

  • Infectious or highly contagious diseases (Impetigo, Scabies, Chicken Pox, Mumps)

  • ANY contagious skin conditions due to cross infection.

  • Laser resurfacing or physician administered peel (wait 1 year)

  • Laser hair removal

  • Diabetes

  • Weakened immune system

  • Any type of dermatitis (eczema, psoriasis, seborrhea..)

  • Vascular Lesions/Rosacea

  • High Blood Pressure - check with Physician

  • Heart Disease - check with Physician

  • Viruses (such as colds, flus, covid)

  • Bacterial infections such as impetigo, boils, cellulitis, folliculitis

  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)

  • Fungal infections such as ringworm, blepharitis

  • Head lice

  • Under the Influence of (alcohol, drugs, prescribed pain medication)

  • Neuralgia

  • Hypersensitive Skin

  • Loss of Skin Sensation

  • Diabetes

  • Skin Cancer/Chemotherapy

  • Fever

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Epilepsy

  • Hemophilia

  • Brow microblading- wait at least 2 months (for brow wax)

Waxing cannot be performed if on any acne medications including, but not limited to: Accutane (at least one year off this medication), Isotretinoin, Renova (Retin A), Adanalene, Tazorac, Alustra (Retin A), Tazarotene Avage, Avita (Retin A), Tretinoin(Retin A), Differin.

Please inform me if you are using any of these products:

  • Alpha Hydroxy Acids (Glycolic, Lactic) on the face or body.                                    

  • Oral or topical antibiotics.                                                                        

  • Other agents like chemical depilatories such as Nair ( used previously)

  • Benzoyl Peroxide (ProActive)

  • Salicylic acid

  • Any bleaching agents for hair (like upper lip) or skin (Hydroquinone, Trilumina)

FACIAL CONTRAINDICATIONS (APPLIES TO ALL FACIALS):

These PREVENT a facial booking:

  • Any type of dermatitis (eczema, psoriasis, seborrhea, Rosacea) -BOOK PRO CALM FACIAL ONLY.

  • Herpes simplex, cold sores, or warts

  • Allergies to products

  • Irritated Skin/Sunburn/Broken Skin

  • Open wounds, sores, boils, rashes, hives

  • Undiagnosed lumps or bumps

  • Styes

  • Aids/ HIV

  • Lupus

  • Infectious or highly contagious diseases (Impetigo, Scabies, Chicken Pox, Mumps,etc)

  • Laser resurfacing or physician administered peel (wait 3 months-1 year)

  • Laser hair removal

  • Skin Cancer/Chemotherapy

  • Hypersensitive Skin

  • Loss of Skin Sensation

  • Diabetes

  • Weakened immune system

  • High Blood Pressure - check with Physician

  • Heart Disease - check with Physician

  • Head lice

  • Viruses (such as colds, flus, covid)

  • Bacterial infections such as impetigo, boils, cellulitis, folliculitis

Chemical Peel/ Microdermabrasion/ Intimate bleaching contraindications:

These PREVENT booking:

  • ALL of the facial contraindications listed above

These require a WAIT prior to a Peel/ microdermabrasion/ Intimate Bleaching:

  • Accutane (1yr off)

  • Retin-A  (1 week off)

  • Discontinue using all alpha hydroxy acid products (those containing glycolic or lactic acid), salicylic acid products, retinoids (Retin A, Renova, Differin and Tazorac) and other topical acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide. (5 days off)

  • Face wax (wait 3-5 days)

  • Permanent make up (wait 3-4 weeks)

  • Recent chemical peel or skin resurfacing procedure such as laser, light therapy, microdermabrasion (wait 1-4 weeks)

  • Botox (wait 1 week before & 1 week after)

  • Injectables (wait 2 weeks)

  • IPLS (wait 2-4 weeks)

  • Laser Resurfacing (wait 3-6 mos)

  • Cosmetic Facial Surgery (wait 3-6 mos)

These require caution:

  • Aspirin Allergy (Salicylic Peel)

BOOKING FEE
A 50% of service booking fee is required to book. This fee goes towards your total balance and is non refundable. In the very rare occasion that I need to cancel your appointment, you will be fully refunded. Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment.

RESCHEDULING POLICY
You can reschedule your appointment online ONCE* up to 24 hours before your appointment using the same booking fee. You are allowed to reschedule to any available date within 30 days of the original appointment. Rescheduling less than 24 hrs before your appointment will be considered a cancellation. Each client will be granted a ONE* time courtesy for last minute rescheduling (per year).

PERIODS
I recommend downloading the FLO app to track your cycle in order to book around your cycle. It is not recommended to book in advance if you have irregular periods and are uncomfortable waxing during your cycle with a tampon on instead, I offer same day appointments.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There are no refunds for cancellations. If you cancel your appointment, you forfeit your booking fee. Additionally, if you no-call/no-show, you forfeit your booking fee and will be banned from booking future appointments.

LATENESS
There are no late fees however, if you are more than 15 minutes late (16 minutes or more) and become an inconvinience for my next client or personal schedule, you will be asked to reschedule. Rescheduling policies will still apply.

BALANCES
Balances are due at the time of service.

Forms of payments accepted:
-Magnetic stripe and chip cards (EMV chip card)s. -Contactless payments (NFC)- NFC cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay. -Cash (USD ONLY)

Cash app, zelle, and other forms of transfers are NOT accepted. Due to bank fees any payments and purchases made with anything other than cash will be charged an additional 3% processing fee (example: $30+3%=$30.90). Photo ID is required for all card transactions for new and existing clients. Your ID name must match your card or it will not be accepted.

DOWNGRADING/UPGRADING
Once an appointment is booked it cannot be downgraded. You will still be required to pay for the original appointment that you booked due to set up, product waste, and differences in service time slot reservation holds. Upgrades and last minute add ons can only be done if time allows. Please try to select all necessary add ons while booking.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS
No extra guests are allowed except children. This is a kid friendly business, but please keep in mind that you will be fully responsible for your child. Though I will always do my best to protect any child from obvious hazards or harm, my main focus and attention will be on the service being provided.

GUARANTEE SERVICES
I always want you to be 100% satisfied with your services. If you are not 100% satisfied I ask that you contact me within 2 days of your appointment so that we may schedule you to have your services corrected free of charge. Any issues reported within the time frame of longer than 2 days from the original appointment date will not immediately be considered a redo, but will be assessed and handled accordingly.
